Willie Wesley Williams Sr., a native of Fernandina Beach, Fla., transitioned to his Heavenly home on February 2, 2018. Willie was a loving husband and devoted father.
Willie was preceded in death by his son, Willie Wesley Williams Jr.; father, Robert Williams Sr.; mother Jessie Williams (Kirtsey); three sisters, Laura Armstrong, Celestine Rawles and Ira Mae Cribb; and one brother, Robert Williams Jr.
Willie leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Rose Ann Williams of Fernandina Beach; his children, Tanya (David) Massey and Elizabeth (Michael) Winfield, both of Atlanta, Ga., Deirdre (Alonzo) Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla., Keith (Raeann) Williams of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Keisha (Alberto) Lopez of Fernandina Beach. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three God children and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Elm Street Church of God in Fernandina Beach. Homegoing Services will be held at at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at River of Praise Worship Center in Yulee. The interment will immediately follow at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
