Shirley Woods Campbell, who lived in Nassau County, Fla. her entire life, died Monday, January 29, 2018 after a length illness in Jacksonville, Fla.
She was born November 26, 1944 to Rayford and Marie Woods. She worked as a cashier for TA Travel Plaza and loved going on cruises and spending time with family and friends. She never met a stranger, loved life and always tried to help anyone who was in need. She attended Mercy Hill Baptist Church in Yulee.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Eugene Sherman Campbell; her parents, Rayford and Marie Woods; brothers, Willie (Bill) Woods, Rayford (Ray) Woods, and Aulbrey (Lee) Woods; and a sister, Dorothy (Dot) Woods.
She is survived by her children, Carlton Ezzell of Ohio, Jerry Campbell (Kelly) and Stephanie Campbell-Higbee (Michael), both of Yulee, Fla., and Sabrina Campbell of Hilliard, Fla.; grandchildren, Kyle Richert (Sara), Leah Ezzell, Lynzie Bour, and Lyza Richert; great-grandchildren; a brother, Franklin Woods (Janet) of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews, in addition to one very special buddy (Bear), her beloved companion.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Moose Lodge in Yulee. It will be open to friends and family.
