Raymond H. Lucas, 56, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away February 16, 2018 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla. after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on October 13, 1961 to the late Harold and June Lucas of Fernandina Beach. He had worked for various contractors doing shutdown work and as a plumber but was most notably a part of the local shrimping industry.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Billy Keller, who died January 1, 2018.
He is survived by his life partner, Annette Snead; his children, Stacy Lucas, Raymond Lucas, Kyle Lucas, and Brian Lucas; a sister, Nancy Thompson (Truman); brothers, Larry Keller (Leigh) and Ricky Lucas (Faye); a sister-in-law, Patty Keller; and nine grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
