
Olin Clifton Lancaster Jr. passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 86.
Olin was born on March 4, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated high school in Dallas and earned a BBA from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Olin served five years in the U.S. Navy. He married Sally in 1961 after a "love-at-first-sight" storybook romance. Olin's most gratifying professional accomplishment was his dedication to the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas. Olin and Sally lived on Amelia Island, Fla. for nine years of their retirement, returning to Dallas in 2009 to be near family. Olin's greatest legacy will be one of love and friendship.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sally Rhodus Lancaster; three children, Olin Lancaster III and wife Pamela of Wilton, Conn., George Lancaster of Houston, Texas, and Julie Lancaster Morris and husband Grinnell of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandsons, Olin Clifton Lancaster IV and Christopher Andrew Lancaster of Wilton; his sister, Jerry Lancaster Wall and husband Robert B. Wall of Houston; his brother-in-law, G. Tomas Rhodus and wife Deborah; his sister-in-law, Evy Kay Rhodus Washburne and husband Dick of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial was held in Dallas on Friday, April 20, 2018.
