
Susan B. “Sue” Blaustein, 67, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
A native of Worcester, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Milton Blatt and Florence Tovin Blatt. A member of the Doherty High School Class of 1968, she moved to Fernandina Beach from the Atlanta, Ga. area. She had been a kindergarten teacher for many years.
Sue was a devoted wife and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Everyone who knew Sue appreciated her ability to listen and give insightful advice.
Her surviving family includes her husband of 48 years, Larry Blaustein of Fernandina Beach; her sons, Michael Blaustein and his wife, Nicole, of Fernandina Beach, and Todd Blaustein, and his wife, Amy, of Spain; her daughter, Jill Frank and her husband, Glenn, of Atlanta; her mother, Florence Blatt of Worcester; two sisters, Shaaron Hoffman, also of Worcester, and Robin Matloff of Newton, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Jeff Blaustein officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Communtity Hospice of Northeast Florida.
