Amber DeAnn Holton, 46, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away suddenly June 27, 2018 at her parents home in Little Rock, Ark.

Amber was born August 2, 1971 in Bellflower, Calif. to Iris McSwain and Edward Cordova. She graduated from Florida Community College Jacksonville in 1988. She was an auxiliary member and employed as a bartender at the VFW Post 9095 in Little Rock, Ark. Amber considered all of members of VFW Post 9095 as her second family. Amber was known for having a big heart and a bright smile and for her laughter. She was one that could walk into a room and bring the sunshine in with her. She was truly loved by all that knew her.

She was proceed in death by her grandparents, Robert D. McSwain, Deloris and Jim Smicker, Mary and Paul Rider, and Edward and Marianela Cordova; and uncles, Robert Donald McSwain and John Rider.

Amber is survived by her husband of two years, Hugh Holton of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Willow (Antony) Pate of Mountain Home, Idaho; parents, Iris and Paul Rider of Little Rock; father, Edward Cordova, Huntington Park, Calif.; grandmother, Juanita McSwain of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; aunts, Lisa Smicker of Salisbury, N.C., Carol Lynn (James) Crews of Yulee, Fla., and Gemma Cordova of Huntington Park; uncles, Michael (Lynell) Smicker of Farmville, La., Charles (Kim) McSwain of Fernandina Beach, Shawn (Missy) Smicker of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Jason Smicker of Salisbury.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no local services. Her remains will be scattered offshore at Fernandina Beach on August 26, 2018 at sunset. Release of 47 luminaries at Main Beach park will follow.
