The funeral service for Mr. George Riley Sr. will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church; 10 South 10th Street , Fernandina Beach Florida 32034; Reverend Jeremiah Robinson officiating.
Mr. George Riley, Sr. was born March 14, 1933, in Charleston, SC. He was the son of the late Nelson Riley and Elizabeth Jenkins Riley. George was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Elizabeth Riley and two sons Jesse J. Riley and George Riley, Jr. He transitioned into eternal rest June 13, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Emma Annette Brizele and Patricia Russell both of Fernandina Beach, Fl, son Joseph Riley, Fernandina , Fl, one brother Robert (Lillie) Riley, Charleston, SC, one sister Thelma Johnson, Charleston, SC, one brother-in-law John (Betty) Williams, Fernandina, Fl, one sister-in-law Annie Louise (Joe) Evans, Yulee, Fl, aunt, Martha Turner, Philadelphia, PA, grandchildren, Sherrie (Vernice) Albertie, Yulee, Fl, Anthony Jr. (Tiffany) Russell, Orlando, Fl, Jovon (Hatasha) Russell, Orlando, Fl, George H. Riley, Monisha Perkins, James Russell, Jamica Riley, Jaya Riley, Myra Riley, great-grand-children, Santaurus Brizele, Maurice Fleming, Deontae Albertie, Anthony (Tre) Russell, III, Aiden Russell, Jenesis Russell, Jade Russell, Amari Hamilton; Adopted Daughters , Sharon Holmes, Karen Holmes, and Sheila Brown, extended family Elizabeth Russell, Elizabeth Perry, Linda Hooper, Annette Reeder, Unita Ivory, Roland Knight, Charolette Knight and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. A public viewing will be held at the Huff & Battise Funeral Home on Friday, June 24, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.
