
Mary L. Webb, 78, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Quality Health.
She was born March 1, 1940 in Fort Smith, Ark. to the late Virgil and Pauline (Myers) Goff.
Mary was a professional military spouse for 28 years, creating homes for her family in five states and three countries. After retiring from military life in 1985, Mary transitioned to the role of preacher’s wife, creating a home for her cherished church family until she moved to Fernandina Beach in 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Howard L. Webb.
She leaves behind her three sons, Mark Webb of Lawton, Okla., Mike Webb of Bella Vista, Ark., and Eric Webb of Fernandina Beach; her three grandchildren, Briley, Paul and Brennan Webb; her brother, Charles Goff of The Woodlands, Texas; and beloved sister, Patsy (Goff) Fant of Fort Smith, Ark..
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Chaplain Jackie Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Jacksonville National Cemetery following the service.
