
Michael Phillip Williams, 60, of Yulee, Fla., passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019.
Born in Fernandina Beach, Fla., he was a lifelong resident of the area who graduated from Fernandina Beach High School. He was a shrimp boat captain and commercial fisherman and member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose for 30 years. He was a friend to everyone and loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Williams; sister, Cecilia Williams; and son, James William Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Caroll Austin Williams; children, Amy Williams Nicholas (Ben), Michael Williams, Lee Williams , Melissa Lester, and Ashley Lindsey (Carl); grandchildren, Lakelyn Williams, Grace Nicholas, Alana Freeman, CJ Williams, Kaden Williams, Sullivan Nicholas, McKenzie Lindsey, Evan Williams, Lola Lindsey, and Carl Lindsey III; father, J. W. Williams (Sandy Ryder); siblings, Deborah Williams, Mark Williams, Wayne Williams (Deanna), and Loraine Williams. He is also loved by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Community Baptist Church in Yulee, Fla. A gathering was held after the service at the Moose Lodge on U.S. 17.
