Janice L. Zoghby, 72, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2019 surrounded by her family while in the care of Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
She was born August 15, 1947 in Bonifay, Fla. to Mattie B. Forehand.
Janice graduated from Fernandina Beach High School and also attended Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla. She spent most of her working life working in the insurance department of various doctors’ offices and hospitals. In her free time, she really enjoyed sewing, reading, and gardening. Her most favorite hobby was spending time with her dogs. She had many over the years and gave them excellent care and attention.
Janice was an active member of Blackrock Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed the fellowship and activities of the church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her because of her loving and generous spirit.
She was predeceased by her mother, Mattie B. Forehand; brother, Jimmy Ray Forehand; and sister, Elizabeth Annette Starling.
Janice leaves behind her sisters, Susan F. Bell and spouse Donald E. Bell of Yulee, Fla., and Sandra F. Tyson of Tallahassee, Fla. She also had three nieces and three nephews, as well as eight great-nieces and nephews. All of them loved her dearly.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Blackrock Baptist Church, located at 96362 Blackrock Road in Yulee, with Pastor John Kasper officiating. Family visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the service following at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blackrock Baptist Church’s Building Fund.
