Mr. Mike Bowen, 55, of Lyons, Ga., died Friday, September 5, 2019, in Jackson, Ala. after a sudden illness.
He was a native of Toombs County, Ga. and was a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School. His career as a truck driver took him numerous places in 38 years.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Bowen, and father, James Winston Bowen.
Mr. Bowen is survived by one daughter, Michaela Bowen; his mother, Mildred Frances “Frankie” Bowen; one sister, Bettina Michelle Bowen; one brother-in-law, Ivey Harris; and one nephew, Levi Harris, all of Yulee, Fla.; his girlfriend, Valerie Patton of Denton, Ga.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Old Mount Zion Cemetery near Lyons. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
