Gary Stone Watkins, 76, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
Gary was born July 28, 1943 in Waycross, Ga. to the late Claude McAdoo and Jewell Stone Watkins.
He was a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School and an Air Force veteran. He worked for Rayonier for 47 years before retiring in 2009.
Gary’s humor and kindness will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lakana Watkins; his six children, David Watkins, Vithoon Khamchareon, Nophakhum Thammarack, Stevie Watkins, Sean Watkins, and Michael Watkins; and one grandchild, Kaelyn. He is also survived by his three brothers, Sherold Watkins, Johnny Watkins, and Terry Watkins.
