Mary Paige Herring Durrance

Mary Paige Herring Durrance, 49, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at the Warner Center for Caring, Community Hospice Center in Fernandina Beach.

Born in Athens, Ga., on July 16, 1967, Paige was the daughter of Montine Wilson and the late Gerald Herring.

Paige spent her early childhood in Athens, where she loved dance classes at the Wanda Aldridge Dance Studio, as well as youth cheerleading. Upon moving to Fernandina with her family at the age of 10, she continued to enjoy dancing with the Bean School of Dance. She also participated in Pop Warner cheerleading and was a member of the Fernandina Beach Middle and High school Pirate cheerleading teams.

After graduating from FBHS in 1985, Paige attended college and worked in several local restaurants. She worked for America Online during its early years and eventually became a full-time mom. She dearly loved her children, Kenan and Max, as well as her husband, Kenneth, and they meant the world to her.

Paige leaves behind her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Fayne Durrance Jr.; her daughter, Kenan Paige; and her son, Maxwell Fayne. She is also survived by her mother, Montine C. Wilson; her sister, Angie (Timothy) Yonn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marsha and Kenneth Fayne Durrance Sr.; sister-in-law, Julie (Johnny) Wall; and brother-in-law, Steven Durrance. In addition, she leaves nephews, Jarrod (Robyn), Michael and Harrison Yonn, Josh Wall, and Jared and Tyler Durrance; and nieces, Chelsea and Sara Wall.

A memorial service will be held at the home of her sister Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. Please park in the west parking area of Lowe’s (facing Barnwell Road), and shuttle service will be provided to and from the service. Her family would love to see you.
