Mr. Jeffery Allan Evans, 50, of Fernandina Beach, passed away Friday evening, May 19, 2017.
Born in Randallstown, Md., he was the son of the late Jack Leroy and Mary Louise Polly Evans. Jeff grew up in Owings Mills, Md., and was a graduate of Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Md., Class of 1984. After high school, he enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon being honorably discharged, he worked for Diamond “DC” Comics in Aberdeen, Md. In 2005, he relocated to Fernandina Beach. Since settling here, he had worked as a bartender and server at the Palace Saloon, PLAE and at Brett’s Waterway Café.
Jeff was fond of most music, but was most drawn to country music.
He was attending Christwalk Church in Fernandina Beach.
Jeff leaves behind his daughter, Casey Evans of Bookman, Pa.; two brothers, Michael Evans of Owings Mills and Patrick Evans of Baltimore; two sisters, Deborah Blitz of Silver Run, Md., and Christine Cox of Joppa, Md.; several nieces and nephews to include a special niece, Jamie Miller; and many friends to include Alan “Hupp” Huppmann of Fernandina Beach, his friend since grade school.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Christwalk Church, on Bailey Road in Fernandina Beach, with Dr. James Chamberlain officiating.
