Donna Carol Dudley, 58, passed away on April 26, 2016 in Forest City, NC. She was born on January 1, 1958, in Fernandina Beach, FL, to Rex Guy Dudley and Frances Anne Smythe Dudley. Donna enjoyed a childhood rooted with a strong sense of family and community in this special small town. She graduated in 1976 from FBHS. Donna worked and lived in St. Augustine, FL from 1980 through 2014. Many knew her through her time at the Old Jail as a sincerely welcoming and funny host in the tourist industry. Some remember her knowledgeable and charming sales tactics from her time in the antique/collectables business in the uptown district, and there are some who benefited from her capacity as a paralegal. Donna enjoyed an active membership in the online Euchre community.
Her brother, Guy Andrew Dudley, her mother and father, and her husband James D. Roach, preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Walter G. (Jerry) Dudley and a sister, Noree D. Hart. Donna was an “Auntie” extraordinaire and will be missed by Anna and Mason Cardin, Davis Hart, Jerami Dudley and Griffin Dudley.
