Harry Ellis Saxton III, 76, of Amelia Island, Fla. was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, October 23, 2017.
Harry was born May 1, 1941 in Berwyn, Ill. to Gertrude Isabel Anderson and Harry Ellis Saxton Jr. He grew up in Whitefish Bay, Wis., and earned a degree in business from North Central College in Naperville, Ill. He went on to a career in commercial real estate and retired from his successful business in Ganesville, Fla. after more than 30 years in 2014.
Harry was, above all, a follower of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed studying God’s word and was a member of Community Bible Study, a men’s small group Bible study, and the Plantation Chapel, where he lead a Sunday school class. Family was Harry’s top priority, after God, and in retirement he very much enjoyed partnering in real estate ventures in Costa Rica with his son, Andrew, which also gave opportunity for some fun travel later in his life.
Harry is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Trudy Johansen.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Denise; brother, John Saxton and his wife Cheryl and family of Melbourne, Fla.; sister, Barbara Parker and her husband Robert and family of Boca Raton, Fla.; son, Andrew and his wife Nathalie of Nosara, Costa Rica; and son Harry Ellis Saxton IV of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at The Amelia Island Plantation Chapel with the Reverend Ted Schroder officiating.
