
Mrs. Rose Mae Ford, 78, of Kingsland, Ga., passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.
Born September 19, 1939 in Branson, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Iva Barclay. She spent her early years in Branson, where she attended school. The family soon moved to Gary, Ind.
On August 8, 1957, she married James B. Ford and they lived in Valparaiso, Ind. She and her husband then moved to New Port Richey, Fla. to be near her sisters.
Following Mr. Ford’s death in 2011, she relocated to Kingsland, where she lived until her passing. She was a member of the Legacy Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ford leaves behind her sons, James H. Ford of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Dale R. Ford and his wife, Marilyn, of Charlottesville, Va.; her daughters, Donna Rene Downey and husband, Duane, of Valparaiso; and Cheryl Ford of Kingsland; her brothers, Donald Barclay of Merrillville, Ind., and Glen Barclay of California; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of the service Thursday, December 7, 2017. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard with Rev. Jeff Whittaker officiating. Mrs. Ford will be laid to rest with her husband in Gary, Ind.
