
William A. Keller, 62, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away January 1, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach.
Mr. Keller was born December 20, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio and has been a Fernandina Beach resident for most of his life. He had been employed by the Port of Fernandina/Nassau Terminals for 32 years.
He loved photography, fishing, and sailing his boat that he named Joy to Cumberland Island. His most precious times were spent with the apple of his eye and granddaughter, Nina. Together, they vacationed, gardened, and fished. "Pop Pop" always had fresh seafood, that he raised, ready for Nina whenever he thought she was going to visit. Mr. Keller was a skilled carpenter who could create anything he set his mind to. He loved to read books and watch shows that pertained to history, and he enjoyed gardening and raising animals.
Mr. Keller was predeceased by his stepson, Christopher Michael Roach; a sister, Denise Dimkoff; his father, James L. Keller Sr.; mother, June Lucas; and stepfather, Harold Lucas.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Patricia "Patti" Keller; a stepdaughter, Jessica Renee Perry; a granddaughter, Nina Bramil; brothers, Larry Keller (Leigh), Raymond Lucas (Annette), Ricky Lucas (Faye), Kevin "Jack" Keller, Todd Keller, and David Bissett; and sisters, Nancy Thompson (Truman) and Linda Robbins.
A celebration of Billy's life will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home.
