Connie Louise (Lynn) Morris, 71, of Yulee, Fla., passed away unexpectedly July 6, 2018.

Born March 5, 1947 to Brian and Nora Louise (Williamson) Lynn in Vidalia, Ga., she moved to St. Marys, Ga. in her late teens. Throughout her life, Connie remained closely connected to the community of Vidalia and her childhood friends and made new friends in St Marys.

Married September 27, 1969 to Charles Woodring Morris in Vidalia, Connie is survived by Charles, her children and grandchildren, Craig and Julie (Morris) Marl and their son, Harry, George Morris, and Mike and Susan (Morris) Mannis and their sons, Tyler and Derek. In addition to her children, she also leaves behind nephews, Joe and Charlie Morris, along with many, many friends and relatives.

Connie was truly a unique character. She was vivacious, gregarious, quick of wit and always ready to share her thoughts – no matter what anyone else thought. She was loved for all these things. She loved to cook and entertain. Her home was open to all – there was always space at the table for one more person, and plenty to eat and drink, along with overwhelming helpings of laughter and joy. She will leave a hole in our world that can never be filled.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, Fla. with a Celebration of Life reception immediately following at Café Karibo located at North Third and Alachua streets in Fernandina Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Barnabas Center in Fernandina Beach at barnabasnassau.org/donate or Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation in Jacksonville at communityhospice.com/give.
