Richard George Tiensch, 80, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away Oct. 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Tiensch. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita, daughter Heike Tiensch, daughter-in-law Christina Dane Burleson, and grandchildren William Taylor and Emily Payton Tiensch, and countless friends. A memorial service will be held at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fernandina Beach, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Nassau County Council on Aging, 1367 S. 18th St., Fernandina Beach, FL, or Nassau Habitat for Humanity, 510 S. 10th St., Fernandina Beach, FL.
