Paul Companion, 58, of Yulee lost his battle to liver cancer Monday, Sept. 19, 2016.
He leaves behind his fiancée, Jacqueline Darawich; sons, Robert T. (Erin) and Russell G. Companion; grandchildren, Kayla, Caleb, Carrionna and Caden Companion; his brothers, Robert A. (Ana) and James M. (Teresa) Companion; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert T. and Anna C. Companion, and a nephew, Robert A. Companion Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. at Victory Celebration Church, 3220 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions for the purpose of transplant and liver cancer research be sent to: Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, FL 32246. Donations just need a note that the gift is in memory of Paul Companion. (Checks should be made out to “Mayo Clinic.”)
