Mary E. Browning, 72, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 28, 2016, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Browning was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Jacksonville, and was a resident of Yulee from 1992 until 2003 before moving back to Jacksonville after a brief stay in Georgia. She was of the Baptist faith and was a strong lady. She loved her family and dearly loved caring for her grandchildren. When she had spare time, she enjoyed watching soap operas on television.
Mrs. Browning was predeceased by her husband, Harry O. Browning; a daughter, J. Michelle Mosley; a grandson, Jason Browning; a stepson, Steven Browning; and two sisters, Betty Williamson and Lurline Smith.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Robin Mosley of Jacksonville; a stepson, Harry L. Browning, of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Daryl Sumner of Jacksonville; two sisters, Latrelle Wade of O'Neil and Faye Cowart of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Green Pine Cemetery with Pastor Dean Starling officiating. The family received friends Thursday evening, Dec. 1, at Green Pine Funeral Home.
