Mr. Timothy “Tim” Keegan Johnson

Mr. Timothy “Tim” Keegan Johnson, 45, formerly of Cape Cod, Mass., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Born in Rochester, N.Y., he was the son of Mary Jane Johnson and Richard Thomas Johnson. Tim grew up in Suffolk County, Long Island, N.Y., where he attended Hauppauge High School. As a member of the graduating Class of 1990, he received recognition for his determination and perseverance. In 2000, he moved to Cape Cod and lived in a home supported by Community Connections while pursuing studies in culinary art, computers and retail at Cape Cod Community College. Tim remained in South Yarmouth, Mass., until moving to Fernandina Beach in October 2015, where he lived at Quality Health and was excellently cared for by the staff.

Remaining true to his roots, he was a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and a good meal.

Tim was Catholic by faith.

He leaves behind his mother, Mary Jane Johnson and her husband, Larry Williams, of Amelia Island and South Dennis, Mass.; his father, Richard Johnson and his wife, Sandy, of Stratford, Conn.; his sister, Kristin Kallstrand and her husband, Don, of Fernandina Beach; brothers, Zachary Johnson of Milford, Conn., and Ryan Mushin of Georgetown, Cayman Islands; a niece, Isa Kallstrand; two nephews, Nate and Owen Kallstrand; and his faithful assistants, Danielle Vick and Valli Smith, all of Fernandina Beach.

Tim’s family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 10, at Oxley-Heard, beginning at 1 p.m.

Funeral services will follow the visitation period at 2 p.m. in the Burgess Chapel, with the Rev. Father Jose Kallukalam officiating.

Following the service, Tim will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
