
John R. Fletcher Jr., 69, of Fernandina Beach, died Thursday, April 13, 2017.
He was born May 30, 1947, in New Haven, Conn., to John R. Fletcher Sr. and Rose Cannon.
As the son of an Air Force pilot, John lived all over the world before graduating from Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Va., and earning his Bachelor of Science from George Mason University. Thereafter, he pursued a successful career in sales, working for companies like Bell & Howell and GSI before retiring to Amelia Island.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his two daughters, Mandy Parker of Cary, N.C., and Morgan Fletcher of Philadelphia; his close friend, Rosemarie Gallagher of Fernandina Beach; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home.
