Linda Faye Alexander went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Jacksonville, surrounded by her family. She was born in Fernandina Beach on Sept. 30, 1947, to Charles and Lera Faye Clements.
She was a lifelong resident of Nassau County. After a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis, she has now gained her dancing shoes and will be dancing with her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherryl (Kenny) Sims; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Frank (Brenda) Kirkland, Bill (Bonnie) Kirkland and Charlene Fulghum.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronald Anthony Smith.
A small family service will be held Thursday, May 18.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nassau County Council on Aging.
