Franchester Suzettte Reaves

Franchester Suzettte Reaves, "affectionately known as Fran,” was born to Winford and Vivian Reaves on February 18, 1954. 

Fran received her formal education through the New York City public system. She pursued a career as respiratory technician. In the late 1970s Fran relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where she married Morris Basiden. Fran furthered her education and obtained degrees in nursing and hospitality management. Fran's career spanned over thirty years in the medical field. She did traveling nursing, pharmacy technician and Home Health Care and she even was a real estate agent.

Some years later, Fran divorced and made her way to Amelia Island and American Beach. How she loved American beach, with all its historical history and in her spare time 

she volunteered at the American Beach Museum. Fran was a collector of sea shells and made pictures out of them. Fran was at her best living by the beach. Everyone she met remembered her, the wonderful smile and bubbly personality. Fran has a host of friends and extended family.

On April 20, 2016, at 7:22 a.m. Fran transitioned to home; she took that final climb to the stairway to heaven. Upon her arrival she was met by her father, two older sisters,

younger brother and some cousins. She was embraced with comfort and love.

When she departed she left to mourn her mother, Vivian Reaves of NC, two sisters, JuLane (Jessie) James of NY, Pamela Reaves of NC, three nieces, Danielle, Jeannine and Whitney, two nephews, Jamal and Jahi, one grand-nephew, Miles, one grand-niece, Neelah, spiritual sisters Cynthia, Faye, Gwen, Debra, Gail and host of other family members and friends

Fran's spirit and personality was contagious and she was like and love by many

The funeral service will be be held 11 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Franklintown United Methodist Church, 1415 Lewis Street, American Beach. The visitation will be held from 5-8PM today at  Funerals by T.S. Warden, 4315 N. Main St., Jacksonville. Interment in Bosque-Bello Cemetery. Please sign the family guestbook at www.tswarden.com. Arrangements in care of Tyrone S. Warden, FDIC.
