Luna B. May, 88, Fernandina Beach, passed away on July 7, 2017 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla. with her family by her side.
She was born in Smithfield, N.C. to Lura Belle Johnson Price and David Ellis Price. She lived in Raleigh, N.C. for years before relocating to Fernandina Beach in 1960.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo F. May. Survivors include her children, Cindy (Mark) Muraski, Jacksonville, and Mitch May, Yulee; grandchildren, Luke Muraski and Aimee (Nick) DeSorbo; a great-grandchild, Aria DeSorbo; a sister, Lee Nichols, Rolesville N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 in the Burgess Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at Oxley-Heard. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Please dress casual.
