Kristine R. Barger, Yulee, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. Ms. Barger moved to the Yulee area 11 years ago after her retirement from 36 years as a teacher at Park Lane Elementary School in New Carlisle, Ohio.
Her love of teaching along with her love of the children was an example to all. She graduated from Defiance High School in Defiance, Ohio and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and later earned her master’s degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Ms. Barger was an active member of Kraft Tennis Partners on Amelia Island and her love of tennis was much of her life.
Ms. Barger was preceded in death earlier this year by her father, John G. Kulesza. She leaves behind her mother, June Milne Kulesza; her fiancé, Robert P. Brogan; her sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Steve Graves of Columbus, Ohio; and many loving friends (you know who you are).
She will be laid to rest at La Flora Mission and there will be a family service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the KTP Kids Summer Tennis Camp in Kris Barger’s name and sent to Jerry Kawecki , 4999 Spanish Oaks Circle, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034.
