Barbara A. Kuhn, 82, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care’s Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
Barbara was born in Robinette, W.Va., on Sept. 17, 1935 to the late Mr. Edward and Mrs. Ethyl (Mattson) Casey. Barbara graduated from Mann High School in 1953 and married Herbert S. Kuhn in 1957 in Springfield, Ohio. After, transferring to multiple states with her husband, they retired to Fernandina Beach in 1997.
She worked in financial institutions and also volunteered in the local elementary schools and with Outward Bound. Barbara loved music, dancing and was a marvelous hostess.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and a grandson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 60 years, “Skip”; three children, Dana Kuhn, Pamela Crowley (Marc) and Stacey Gilley; a grandchild, Casey; a sister, Helen Casey; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
