Mrs. Frances M. Patterson, 88, passed away May 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Conway and Marie Lampkins, her beloved husband Sylvester Patterson, two sisters Nancy Slater and Betty Lampkins, three brothers, Edwin, Donald and Charles Lampkins and one granddaughter Roseanne Dorsey. Mrs Patterson leaves to cherish her memory eight children: Logean Billups (Elwood) of Florida, Gail Valsin (Louis), Rhonda Goodman, Vanessa Dorsey (Sammy) all of Texas, Jocelyn Faison (Daryl) and Dr. Carey Goodman (Jill) of Georgia, Cecil Goodman, Darrell Goodman and a beloved sister, Juanita Faulkner of Florida; 18 grands, 22 great grands, 9 great great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Mrs. Sadie Campbell and Ms. Lavinia Williams.
Funeral services will be held at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (10 South 10th Street) on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jeremiah Robinson, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday May 27, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and from 9:30 am until the hour of the service on Saturday at the church. Mrs. Patterson will be laid to rest in Bosque-Bello Cemetery. The cortege will assemble at 10:15 a.m. at 829 South 10th Street under the direction of Huff & Battise Funeral Home, Fernandina Beach.
