Robert W. Selton, Jr.

Robert (Bob) Selton of Longwood, Florida passed away Monday July 25 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Bob is survived by his wife Cynthia Selton and family.

Bob was born in Ft. Benning, Ga in June of 1950 to Evelyn K. and COL Robert W. Selton Sr. He was an army brat and graduated High School from Frankfurt American High, Germany. Bob rowed crew and played Soccer for the Tars, and was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.

He had a long career in real estate at Amelia Island Plantation. He worked in sales and development throughout his career and life. People have always stated he was successful because of his “work ethic, knowledge, fairness, and intuition.”

He became a Montana rancher over the last 20 years and that became his passion and a job where he could do all that he loved.

He was an Eagle Scout and he taught his son and grandchildren the skills needed to understand life, nature, wildlife, safety and survival. The grandkids told others their “papa was the smartest man in the world.”

He was a devoted husband for over twenty years, the foundation for his son and two daughters, a pillar of strength for his brothers, a teacher for his grandkids, and will be missed and never forgotten by all his friends, family, and those that worked and knew him over the years.
