Timothy “Scott” Rowland Jr., 24, of Yulee passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at UF Health in Jacksonville.
He was born on November 15, 1992 in Fayetteville, N.C. to Timothy “Tim” Scott Rowland and Felicia Bennett Rowland.
The family moved back to Yulee in 1997, where he attended school in Yulee. After school, he went to work for Cash’s Tree Service, Sandhill Recycle Center and as a welder for Stinger’s, LLC.
“Scott” enjoyed anything on the water including fishing, boating and jet skiing. He also could be found riding the dirt roads with his sweetheart, Teresa, his brother Michael, friends and his beloved dog “Buddy,” enjoying nature and hunting. He was very proud of his boat and being mechanically inclined and was always “tinkering” with it. He was a picker and a “junkman” at heart. He had a huge heart and many friends.
His life changed when he met his fiancée, Teresa, and her children.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Hazel Knight; maternal grandfather, Bronze Bennett; and maternal grandmother, Linda Bennett.
He leaves behind his mother, Felicia Taylor of Yulee; his father, Timothy “Tim” Rowland of Yulee; step-father, Steve Cash of Yulee; fiancée, Teresa Daniel and her children, Gage, Gavin and Gracie Rogero; sister, Jenna Rowland of Yulee; brother, Michael Rowland of Yulee; grandmothers, Rhonda Odom of Vidalia, Ga. and Barbara Cox of Georgia; grandparents, Roy and Ruth Rowland of Yulee; maternal great-grandparents, Travis and Edith Ann Bennett; and many aunts, uncles and extended family members.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Burgess Chapel with Pastor Ed Shick officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Oxley-Heard. He will be laid to rest in Green Pine Cemetery.
